Power to use the abilities of Salamander. Variation of Cryptic Physiology.
User with this ability either is or can transform into a Salamander, elemental being connected to fire, which has two greatly differing forms:
Legendary salamanders are often depicted as a typical salamander in shape, with a lizard-like form, but is ascribed an affinity with fire, sometimes specifically elemental fire. They are so cold that they can live unharmed in a fire and extinguish the hottest flames, and freeze hot water by entering it. They have poison powerful enough that merely by falling into a well they would poison the water, and by climbing a fruit tree poison the fruit.
From the salamander comes a material that is unlike any other cloth; when it becomes dirty, it must be thrown into a fire, which will consume the dirt without harming the cloth. This cloth is made in the deserts of India, and is worn by important people. This is a good description of asbestos, which some sources link with the salamander.
Modern salamanders are beings of pure fire and often with more humanoid shaped, thought with reptilian/snake like features (some are still completely animal like), and are directly connected to fire. Unlike the legendary salamander, they are generally both intelligent and sociable beings, able to form their own societies.
