"He's overwriting the very laws of nature. This magic surpasses magic itself!"
― Sora (Trinity Seven)

The power to have capabilities beyond the laws of magic. Sub-power of Science-Magic Transcendence. Not to be confused with Meta Magic. Opposite to Science Transcendence.

Also Called[]

  • Beyond Magical Laws
  • Magic Ascendency
  • Magic Transcendence

Capabilities[]

The user possesses abilities beyond the laws and scope of magic, resulting in the user being of unfathomable power and capable of incredible feats; their powers are inexplicable to any form of magic and seemingly accomplish completely illogical/irrational actions/effects to it, while also being immune to any and all magical problems. The potential effects are innumerable in possibilities, as they can perform any able miracle with very little exposition as to how it is done. The scope of this power can range from slight nudges to brutal disruptions in scale.

This ability differs from Meta Magic in that this ability is the state of transcending the laws of magic, whilst Meta Magic is the ability to wield magic that transcends the laws of magic. A Meta Magic user can alter or ignore the conditions and limitations of magical systems (for magic from themselves), whilst a user of this ability outright surpasses the laws of magic. The abilities are similar but have massive differences. For example, a Meta Magic user could create a spell that can block any spell, even ones that are normally impossible to block, but they would need to actually cast their spell in order to block anything. On the other hand, a Magic Ascendancy user is in the state of transcending the laws of magic, and so would inherently just ignore the spell due to it being the laws of magic that dictates what the spell actually does.
