"I can tell right off the bat if they're looking, especially when they got that murderous gaze on me. After all, if you're gonna get hurt, you're in big trouble. If they wanna kill me, the skin on my body pricks and stings all over."
― Inosuke Hashibira's Killing Intent Perception (Kimetsu no Yaiba)
"The first time I saw him, he looked very weak. There was no ambition, no willpower, no hatred, and no killing intent. Yet that man would decapitate and slash at me. Not even the Gods of the Buddha could have predicted that."
― Muzan Kibutsuji on Yoriichi Tsugikuni's Killing Intent Suppression (Kimetsu no Yaiba)
"This guy is giving off a murderous vibe! Even getting close to him makes my skin crawl..."
― Solid Snake on Ganondorf's Killing Intent Exudation (Super Smash Bros.)

The power to use killing intent for various purposes. Variation of Fear Inducement. Not to be confused with Killing Instinct or Killing Mastery.

Also Called[]

  • Horror Inducement
  • Killing/Murderous Intention/Vibes
  • Killer Vibes/Aura
  • Murderous Intent/Aura
  • Psychic Intimidation

Capabilities[]

Users can utilize killing intent of themselves or others in three ways:

Exudation: Users can give off their murderous intent in a similar fashion to a frighting presence, that will very likely affect their opponents and even their environment in some cases. Particularly strong killing intent can achieve a variety of effects like paralyzing the victims in fear at the simplest level and causing them to morbidly hallucinate their own deaths, or even kill them by forcing the mind to believe their death is a reality in more severe cases.

Perception: Users are able to observe and sense their targets or others killing intent, usually enabling them to track and predict where and when their opponents are going to strike in similar fashion to Precognition and Attack Prediction.

Suppression: Users can nullify and control their own killing intent, usually reducing them to a apathetic state, which can prevent their opponents from discovering and sensing it, thus hiding one's motives and preventing one from being tracked.

Applications[]

  • Apathy - By suppressing the intent while retaining the desire to kill.
  • Combat Perception - By reading the foe's killing intent.
  • Danger Detection - By sensing killing intent directed at the user.
  • Death By Horror - By causing fear to the point of killing the foe.
  • Discouragement - By releasing their intent, a user can cause others to run away.
  • Fear Inducement - By showing extreme bloodlust to shock the opponents.
  • Intimidating Glare - By staring down an opponent, giving off one’s own desire to kill to induce fear as a warning sign.
  • Intimidation Mastery - By using it to instill fear in their opponents and command respect from others.
  • Intimidation Visualization - By projecting horrifying visualizations through killing intentions.
  • Menacing Presence - By making one’s own presence seem disquieting to those in proximity of the user.
  • Mental Hallucination - By projecting visions of gruesome deaths via killing intentions.
  • Pain Illusion - By causing so much fear that the foe can feel harmed in the visions of death.
  • Paralysis Inducement - By utilizing fear against the foe to the level of stopping their movements.
  • Penance Stare - Induce debilitating effects on others with a simple gaze.
  • Persuasion - By utilizing fear to make others do what the user requests.
  • Psychosomatic Illusion - By showing such powerful visions that the foes actually believe it is happening.
  • Submission - By using one’s murderous aura to break an opponent’s will to fight.

Associations[]

Limitations[]

  • Killing intentions can serve as a way for the opponent to track them down by Empathy unless they can suppress the intent while fighting.
  • Uncontrollable killing intent can adversely affect unwanted targets.
  • Users of Apathy, Indomitable Will, Indomitable Courage, Fear Immunity, and Tranquil State are either immune or highly resistant.
  • May require the user to kill a large number of people or commit an act of violence to learn, and an even larger to master.
