― Shifu (Kung Fu Panda)

The ability to be highly proficient in handling a cannon. Variation of Artillery Proficiency.

Also Called[]

  • Adept/Expert/Intuitive/Master/Professional/Skilled/Talented Cannoneer
  • Cannon Aptitude/Expertise/Intuition/Mastery/Specialism
  • Enhanced Cannonmanship

Capabilities[]

Users are highly skilled with all types of cannons, every type of artillery that is used for direct fire, allowing them to perform great feats and benefit in far ranged combat. Users are to have excellent bull-eyes aim on their target via ammunition.

Users are also able to operate all variations of cannons. They can create cannons as well as repair them. Also to have expert knowledge of cannons and handling them. Users have excellent intuition on trigger-initiated, hand-held, and hand-directed implements, especially with an extending bore, which thereby resembles the class of weapon in either form or concept.

Applications[]

Variations[]

  • Aircraft Artillery: Artillery weapons with a caliber larger than 37 mm mounted on aircraft.
  • Anti-Aircraft Gun: Guns, usually mobile, designed for attacking aircraft by land and/or at sea. Some guns were suitable for the dual roles of anti-aircraft and anti-tank warfare.
  • Anti-Tank Gun: A form of artillery designed to destroy tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, normally from a static defensive position.
  • Assault Gun: A type of self-propelled artillery which uses an infantry support gun mounted on a motorized chassis, normally an armored fighting vehicle, which are designed to provide direct fire support for infantry attacks, especially against other infantry or fortified positions.
  • Autocannon: A fully automatic gun that is capable of rapid-firing large-caliber (20 mm/0.79 in or more) armor-piercing, explosive or incendiary shells, as opposed to the smaller-caliber kinetic projectiles (bullets) fired by a machine gun.
    • Chain Gun: A type of autocannon or machine gun that uses an external source of power to cycle the weapon's action. Rather than diverting excess energy from the cartridges' propellant as in a typical automatic firearm, it is powered by a continuous loop of chain similar to that used on a motorcycle or bicycle.
    • Rotary Cannon: Any large-caliber multiple-barreled automatic firearm that uses a Gatling-type rotating barrel assembly to deliver a sustained saturational direct fire at much greater rates of fire than single-barreled autocannons of the same caliber.
    • Revolver Cannon: A type of autocannon, commonly used as an aircraft gun. It uses a cylinder with multiple chambers, like those of a revolver handgun, to speed up the loading-firing-ejection cycle. Some examples are also power-driven, to further speed the loading process. Unlike a rotary cannon, a revolver cannon only has a single barrel, so its spun weight is lower. Automatic revolver cannons have been produced by many different manufacturers.
  • Field Gun: A field artillery piece. Originally the term referred to smaller guns that could accompany a field army on the march, that when in combat could be moved about the battlefield in response to changing circumstances (field artillery), as opposed to guns installed in a fort (garrison artillery or coastal artillery), or to siege cannons and mortars which are too large to be moved quickly, and would be used only in a prolonged siege.
  • Railgun
  • Recoilless Gun: A type of lightweight artillery system or man-portable launcher that is designed to eject some form of countermass such as propellant gas from the rear of the weapon at the moment of firing, creating forward thrust that counteracts most of the weapon's recoil.
  • Tank Destroyer: A type of armored fighting vehicle, armed with a direct fire artillery gun or missile launcher, designed specifically to engage and destroy enemy tanks, often with limited operational capacities.
  • Tank Gun: The main armament of a tank. Modern tank guns are high-velocity, large-caliber artilleries capable of firing kinetic energy penetrators, high-explosive anti-tank, and cannon-launched guided projectiles.
  • Wrist-Mounted Cannon

Associations[]

Limitations[]

  • Needs intensive focus skills in order to aim for the opponent.
  • Must be prepared at all times from oncoming attacks.
  • A lot of cannon ammunition (such as balls or shells) are incredibly heavy and may take time to load/reload.
