Capabilities

User possesses no soul or spiritual tether to the world, essentially making the user emotionless and immortal, as a person needs a soul to have a degree of mortality in the first place. A soulless person does not possess emotions or feelings to cloud their ambition making them excellent killers and assassins and they cannot be tracked in mystical ways due to a lack of spiritual essence.

User cannot be influenced by the powers of Heaven or Hell and is immune to the effects of Soul Manipulation, Necromancy, Soul Absorption, Soul Removal, Contract Bestowal or Penance Stare.

Limitations

• Soulless beings can still be granted a soul.
  • If user's soul was taken then Soul Restoration can counter this.

  • Users who can share soul can grant them to soulless beings.

• May be vulnerable to Possession.
• Being soulless does not affect users of Eternal Bond.
• Being soulless doesn't mean being mindless, so the user may be affected by a mind based abilities
• Soul Creation
• Not immune to Oblivion and Absolute Erasure.
• In many verses the soul is an essential part of empathy, meaning that losing the soul (or having none to begin with) prevents a user from having true empathy - in essence they become psychopaths at best and demonic monsters at worst (in some verses even demons fear those truly without a soul, making them an almost eldritch being).

As a result of Castiel's mistake, Sam Winchester (Supernatural) briefly became soulless, unable to feel any emotion and lacking any need for sleep.
