"JoJo, being a human means having limits. I've learned something... The more carefully you scheme, the more unexpected events come along. As long as you're human..."
"What? What do you mean?"
"I reject my humanity, JoJo!"
― Dio Brando to Jonathan Joestar before using the Stone Mask(JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)
"You turned yourself into a monster just for power."
"Look who's talking!"
― Raven Branwen to Cinder Fall (RWBY)
"You know, if I had an ounce of humanity left in me, this would be a very touching little reunion. But of course, I surrendered my human half a long time ago."
― Dark Danny (Danny Phantom)
"Think about what you're doing. I know that you've always had a deep connection with the spirits, but you're still a man. You're still my brother, you're Eska and Desna's father. Are you willing to throw your humanity away to become a monster?"
"I'll be no more of a monster than your own daughter. The only difference is that while she can barely recognize her own spiritual power, I will be in complete alignment with mine. Vaatu and I will be as one. No one will be able to stand against us."
― Tonraq and Unalaq (Avatar Legend of Korra)
"These people tried to raise you without family or friends or love. But you couldn't get along without those things, could you?"
"You're right. It was my weakness."
― Batman to Zander before the latter mutates himself.
"Did you lose your humanity when you were assimilated by the Phalanx, or did you have any to begin with?"
― Charles Xavier to Cameron Hodge (Marvel Comics)
"That cop almost killed me. I thought you said I'd be indestructible."
"I said
almost indestructible. After all, you're still human."
"Than make me
less human."
"I'm... I'm not sure what you mean."
"I mean what I said. Now get to work!"
― Hammerhead and an Oscorp scientist (Marvel's Spider-Man)
"When the guilt gets too bad, we switch off our humanity… and we revel in it."
― Damon to Alaric (The Vampire Diaries)
"Being human means nothing!"
― Moltor (Power Rangers: Operation Overdrive)
"What knows Galactus of humanity? I do what I must."
― Galactus (Marvel Comics)
